creating the interior 01

Looking inside the hull, you can see that the panels are held together by the copper wires perfectly without any gaps. Now that the hull is nice and shapely faired, we can start the process of bonding all the panels together, but before I can do this, we need to remove the copper wires.

So what I do is mix up some epoxy resin with silica, and then mix in some mahogany wood flour to make a structural filler (aka epoxy-silica-woodflour!) that is applied with a syringe in small gobbets in between the copper wires, then smoothed along the seams. This is known as 'tabbing'. After the tabs have set, the copper wires are removed.
